Comments about Spot's Stew - Salmon - 12 x 3 oz:
I tried several different brands of wet food when we got our kitten last August, and he would gobble it all up for a day or two, and then not eat it anymore. That is, until I brought home a couple cans of Halo Spot's Stew (I don't remember which variety). He gobbled it all up...and continues to do so. So as far as I'm concerned, this food is great! And it's the perfect serving size so none of it goes to waste or smells up my fridge. Although if our cat had anything to say about it, he'd probably tell you to leave the peas out. I've never seen a cat lick a bowl clean but leave one item he doesn't like, but this cat is like that with peas. Too funny...
And since finding the Halo brand, his coat is like silk. I never really believed a food could affect the look and feel of fur, but there is no other explanation in this case. This food is amazing!

My 2/ 4 month old kittens always have had very loose, and watery stool.I changed there food 3 times, and no improvement untill finally i found halo.I thought i better try it,because i read alot about other people having the same problems with there cats and kittens, and then once switching to halo, the problem was gone in no time at all.Well i received the food ups in the afternoon started feeding feeding it to the kittens and i couldn't believe the next day my kittens stool already started to get firm!!It was like a miracle. Now about 1 month later they are doing great!I will never buy any other food for them.Halo food is Awesome, and my cats love it.It is like a miracle in a can!!!

My 15 year old cat has refused to eat almost every kind of food, but she LOVES this one and is putting weight back on.
Comments about Spot's Stew - Salmon - 12 x 3 oz:
I found the reviews for this brand on a major retailer's site to be very favorable, but with a handful of 1- 2- & 3 star reviews too.
The quality of the ingredients never appeared to be in question. The biggest complaint seemed to be based on the consistency (firmness, or lack thereof) of the wet food that those reviewer's cats simply didn't care for. I bought a few cans and while some flavors aren't as firm as other wet foods, my cat INHALED IT IMMEDIATELY. He's picky when it comes to wet food and he gobbled up an entire can. Some people said their cats ate around the 1/4 inch chunks of veggies but mine ate them, licking the bowl clean in the process.
I bought 5 1-dozen can cases (each a different flavor) from Wag and all have chunks of veggies in them, but slightly different consistencies.
For instance, the "Chicken, Shrimp and Crab", the "Chicken and Beef" and the "Turkey" are all of a medium consistency. Not quite as firm as Fancy Feast's Classic variety (the kind that keeps the form of a can when you plate it).
The "Lamb" is much firmer than the previous three Halo flavors, but my cat didn't like it as much so I may forego buying it again in the future.
The "Salmon" is the least firm of all of them. It's not runny but will lose it's shape quickly when you put it into the dish. It would be great for older cats who can't chew as well anymore.
I should mention that the veggies are very well cooked and easily chewable. Even older cats shouldn't have any trouble with them. You can mush them effortlessly between your fingers so they require almost zero jaw effort but for my cat they seem to add flavor and variety to his "dining experience".
The wet food always smells fresh when you pop the lid open, it has a healthy looking pinkish/yellow color (the Lamb is a little darker), and although they all smell like their corresponding flavor the smell is very light. It doesn't look or smell "processed" nor does it appear as if it could have been sitting on a shelf for the past year or two. It looks like you could have cooked and mixed it up at home.
An added benefit is that it doesn't lose much moisture after you open and plate it. I can return to my cat's bowl 5-6 hours later and if there's any left, it's as fresh as when I put it down for him. It makes his dish much easier to clean. Any unused portion stays fresh for 3-4 days in the fridge with just the lid covering it.
My cats's coat is very shiny and even during winter months he barely sheds. The quality of the food you give them really has a big impact on their life-long health and well-being.
I've been recommending this cat food to everyone.
If you're unsure, just get a few cans for your cat to try instead of buying a whole case.
