My cat is uninterested in most toys and it takes a lot of engagement to get her moving. Independent play is not something she's into. This toy is as close as it gets. I can sit down or lounge on the couch and wave it around because the ribbon is pretty long, and she'll run after it in circles. She seems to like it more than other mouse on a string type toys. So far the quality seems enough to withstand her pounces!

My cat's not the greatest hunter and isn't exactly the sharpest kitty in the litter, but she certainly has fun with this. It gives my cat the exercise she needs to be a bit more active and engaged around the house while providing entertainment for everyone in the house, including her.

There's really not much else to say about the product other than that it's a ribbon of fabric adhered very securely to a solid but flexible plastic rod. We've only been playing with it for about a week now, but it doesn't seem to be breaking or tearing from the stress of play. That said, I have a smaller adult cat who I imagine plays much more gently with the toy than perhaps a more hunter-capable cat.

Our 4-month-old Bengal kittens are crazy about this cat charmer. From taking flying leaps to catch it as it spins through the air to dragging it like a dead snake into their play tunnel, they never grow tired of it. I enjoy creating different ways to make it move, which makes it particularly fun for me, more so than other toys on a string or wire. This cat charmer is really sturdy and has not frayed, nor has the handle shown any sign of weakness. I have had to remove a few knots that inevitably formed during play. I do not like to leave the kittens alone with this as I am afraid that they might get tangled up in it, but I consider it an excellent cat toy and highly recommend it.
