Within the first 15 minutes of playing with this toy our dog was coughing and gagging on the threads that he had already pulled out. This is a chew toy that makes a mess and is dangerous.
Not recommended.

I got the multi-color large sized rope toy for my 25lb puggle. He loves chewing and loves these rope toys, I've bought them before and they last a few months which is great. He'll play with them for a week and then get bored and come back ot them a few weeks later which is great.
A large is probably a little big for a 25lb dog but he likes to play tug so it's nice to have a slightly longer toy. The large would definitely be big enough for a 50lb dog.
