Not a hit with my dogs

My dogs just sniffed the antlers and then had no interest in them. However, if my dogs were constant chewers they may have worked as a great alternative to a bone (that are no longer recommended by vets).

            Comments about Whole Elk Antler:

The whole antler is our go-to chew toy to for our active, 1 year old pointer/lab mix. She LOVES to chew, can't say that enough, and has killed countless supposedly 'built for strong chewers' toys in minutes. This antler (get the whole, not the split - won't last if your dog is a chewer), lasts for a good month to a month and a half and keeps her busy for long periods of time. We usually take it away from her once it gets whittled down to a few inches and give her a new one so there isn't a choking issue.

We like that it is a safe and natural toy for her - its super tough and can take a good beating. We did some research before trying it and the elk in particular won't split into shards. I read that some of the other types of antlers can do this so worth looking into.

Oh and another plus - there is literally no odor from this thing, unlike some other natural chew toys.

The only downside and this is pretty minor in my book - it can leave tiny flakey bits on the rug where she's been chewing. But if you can't handle a little bit of mess, you probably don't have a dog. :)

              Comments about Whole Elk Antler:

My two pit bulls, 50lbs and 70lbs, are both chewers and love these antlers!! Keeps them chewing for hours! It is safe for their stomachs unlike most rawhides, with no additives, and last forever!

                Comments about Whole Elk Antler:

I ordered the medium size for our greyhounds and they have really enjoyed chewing on this. Great for teeth and so much cleaner and safer than a rawhide. I find it also doesn't get too slippery or slimy. My dogs chew with gusto and it hasn't broken at all. I think the product varies quite a bit as far as size goes, since my medium is probably 6" long although only about 1.5" in diameter.
