The waterer is so light-weight that my cat pushed it all around the kitchen floor inevitably knocking it over and spilling out the water. It's a great product but my only concern is that he'll be without drinking water while I'm away.

This is a more economical auto watering dish. It's made of very thin plastic and doesn't weigh very much. It can be tipped over or picked up and easily spilled. The part that holds the water doesn't lock into anything it just sits on the dish. So if you have children, they can just easily pick it up and spill water everywhere.

We taped the top part to the bottom after refilling so that we didn't have messes.

Overall it does its job. I would only recommend this for use with really small dogs, cats and other small animals. It does not hold very much water and the dish is not that big.
