Comments about Fiproguard Fiproguard Flea & Tick Topical for Cats:

This product worked as well as Frontline. This is the only topical I will use on my animals. Like another comment said my cat frothed at the mouth with Frontline - but not with Fiproguard which is probably not quite as strong. If you do your research, you will find that they are all pesticides that could have side effects. To those who say pets were itching after 2 weeks, I complained to my vet that my pets were still itching also after dosage, he told me that the fleas have to bite to be killed. I only use this if absolutely necessary. I prefer the City Dogs (Capstar) chicken flavored capsules where I can regulate the dosage according to my cat's size (6-12 lbs)- instead of "up to 25 lbs".

Comments about Fiproguard Fiproguard Flea & Tick Topical for Cats:

I have used it on my five cats for over a year now and it works great. No sign of ticks or fleas and they are indoor/outdoor cats in the country. It is a lot cheaper than some of the other brands and seems to work just as well. I must admit that they did not have fleas or ticks when I started using it, so that is an advantage. But I will continue to use it as long as I can see it is working. I have used other "off brands" in the past to save money and they did not work, but this one does.

Saw this recently at our local Pet store and tried it for our cats. It lasted maybe 2 weeks before our cats were scratching and itching from fleas again. Went back to the name brand.
