Cats seem to love this stuff. No grain fillers and lower calories so it's good for my "fat boy". My only complaint would be that it doesn't come in bags bigger than 11.1 lbs - with 4 cats it doesn't last long! It's a little pricey but no worse than other premium food prices

Comments about Merrick Before Grain Chicken:
I have tried many things to improve my elderly cat's diet including other grain free foods and even preparing her food from scratch. She didn't enjoy either. This food, however, she really likes.
Before this the only food she enjoyed was a pretty good food that was grain filled.
I'm glad I finally have found a food to feed my little carnivore well!
Free shipping is great, too!
I don't write many reviews, but this food did wonders for my 13 year old cat in just a few weeks. He has a borderline hyperthyroid condition, lost weight, vomiting, bad coat, cried incessantly until I found this food. In just 2 weeks, I noticed a dramatic improvement in his coat, his mood, and his weight. My only problem is keeping my other overweight cat out of it.
