Product Information

Just like the human epidemic, almost 50% of the pet population is overweight. Even a little extra weight can impact the pets quality of life and relationship with family because that extra weight can reduce play time, impact mobility and affect the lifelong general health of your dog. Hills nutritionists & veterinarians developed Prescription Diet Metabolic clinical nutrition specially formulated to support your dogs weight management. In fact, 88% of pets lost weight at home in 2 months with the nutrition of Metabolic.

This food requires a veterinary prescription.

Hill's is updating their Prescription Diet packaging and a portion of the name. With Prescription Diet Metabolic, the current descriptor is "Advanced Weight Solution"; in 2015 it will be "Weight Management".

Comments about Metabolic Feline:

This was prescribed by my vet in May and my cat has lost ~2.5 pounds on this food!!! It has been great. He still complains a little bit that he is hungry, but most of the time he is satisfied.
