    • Hope The Dogs Will Eat It

    Comments about Chicken Lickin' Dinner:

I've been trying to find a better quality pet food at a good price for a multi-cat household. This seemed to fit what I wanted. Unfortunately, ALL my cats despised it. Even the one that is always willing to eat just about anything. The smell and texture of the food was pretty gross (more so than regular canned cat food). I tried introducing it slowly a small amt at a time, mixing it with the stuff they like and finally giving them nothing but this for 2 days. They'd rather starve. Now I have half a case left to get rid of and I'm hoping my dogs will be willing to eat it. I was pretty disappointed in it. I will have to keep searching for a product that meets my expectations and my cats taste buds. I don't recommend this product.

      Comments about Chicken Lickin' Dinner:

I read some negative reviews but my cats for the most part liked this product. The only thing I did notice was the difference in appearance between two orders. The color, texture, smell was not the same and the cats liked the second order much better? I found that a bit odd but would buy again.

      • Cats That Aren't Fussy

      Comments about Chicken Lickin' Dinner:

This food looks great on paper; real meat as the first ingredient, and no by-products, grain or gluten, but my cat, who is only moderately fussy, doesn't seem to like it. If she's really hungry, she'll lick the gravy and eat a few bites of the pate, but only when it first comes out of the can. The refrigerated 2nd and 3rd servings always go untouched, even if I reheat first. It has a strong liver smell, so if your cat is a fan of liver or other organ meats, (many are) it may be a bigger hit, but for me, too much of the can gets wasted to make it a good value.
