Catit Treat Maze

The Catit Design Senses Food Maze is the smart way to feed your cat and offers various levels of difficulty to challenge your cat's abilities. The cat moves the food or treats through the maze by pawing at it through the side openings until it drops down to the food tray. The Food Maze appeals to your cat's sense of touch and taste, while encouraging mental and physical activity. By making your cat work for its food and monitoring the amount of food added to the maze, the Food Maze can be a valuable tool to help with overeating or obesity problems.

Features include:

  • Side Cut-outs: Cat moves the food through the maze by pawing at it through the side openings
  • Food Tray: As the food moves through the maze, it collects in the food tray at the bottom of the maze
  • Varying levels of difficulty: rotating disc located inside the maze allows you to increase or decrease the openings for a more difficult challenge
  • Accu-Pressure Mat: provides pressure point paw massage

works just as advertised. took my cats about three days to figure it out, and offers them a small challenge to get their food. Easy to assemble, sturdy, and simple. I am very happy with it.

            Comments about Senses Treat Maze:

This feeder works great. Read about the design flaws but easy to correct. The cats love the sound of the descending kibble and wait for it to fall out the bottom. Kind of like payout from a kitty slot machine. They purr each time eating it. Took my old 14 yr. old and 9 month old about 10 minutes to understand the system. You need to fasten it to a base to keep it from tipping over. i used plywood and two plastic nuts and bolts). Also cut the spout off a plastic funnel whose lip was larger than the hole top. Then cut off about 1/3 the bottom taper of the funnel so that it fits about halfway down into the hole of the top. Keeps the cats from eating out the top fill hole and makes it easier to fill.

              Comments about Senses Treat Maze:

I thought this would be a great way to get a little more activity into my kitty's life, but I think he's too smart for this contraption. Since it's not weighted down on the base, it's very easy for him to tip it over and then just eat the spilled foods off of the ground. Every time I sat it back upright, he would look at me like I was an idiot and just walk over and knock it down again.
I'm not sure who would actually benefit from this thing.
